Waqar makes an apology to the nation

Pakistan team head coach Waqar Younis has apologized to the nation for the bad performances Pakistan team has produced in the Asia cup and World T20. Waqar was present at the Qaddafi Stadium to submit his report to the fact-finding committee made by the PCB chairman.

The committee will locate and rectify the issues in the team and will then submit their findings to the OCB chairman Shaharyar Khan. Waqar Younis talked to the media before going into the meeting. He said that he is really hurt and apologizes to the nation for the recent performances.

Waqar said that he is not here to do any political stunt. He said that it is time for us all to open up eyes and locate the core issues in our cricket. He said that changing captain or coach or any player for that matter will serve the purpose.

There are issues that will not be rectified by only changing anyone. Waqar said that if Pakistan cricket gets into a better quality with his resignation then he will resign today and won’t even wait for tomorrow but he knows this will not happen.

Coaches have come but they never stayed. Changing the management or team members is not the solution to Pakistan cricket. Waqar said that he will definitely not blame on player or individual for the condition of Pakistan team. He said that it is a collective effort. Waqar also said that it is time for us to differentiate between stars and heroes. Heroes are the one who play cricket and they love this game.
