Mohammad Hafeez Bowling in Quaid e Azam Trophy

After lifting of the ban Mohammad Hafeez has started bowling in the domestic cricket. He is playing the Quaid E Azam trophy these days and today he was seen bowling with a remodeled bowling action. This one is a much more quick bowling action from Hafeez.

Previously when he used to bowl before the ban, there was a slowness and a pause in Hafeez bowling action. Both these components are now out of this new bowling action. The absence of that pause will give Hafeez a bit of problem.

Hafeez used to get a lot of wickets before just because of that short pause he used to take before releasing the ball. He used to calculate the initial movement from the batter in that small pause and then his ball was to counter that movement.

Also Hafeez failed to spin the ball today. You can give him a cushion that the wicket might have not allowed him to take any spin but then again in Pakistan most of the wickets produce a good amount of turn for the spinners.

He was hit for a straight six by the batter. This was a length ball which did not turn and the batsman easily picked it and posted it over long on for a huge six. That was certainly not a good start for Hafeez with the ball.

Now comes his future in Pakistan team. Hafeez might get a chance to make a comeback in the ODI side in Australia. But as per the Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur he wants Hafeez to bat well before getting the ball in hand. This means Hafeez will have to perform really well with the bat in order to cement his lost place in the Pakistan side. Previously he used to skip away with good bowling figures and retained his place for many years despite not showing some good work with the bat.
