Misbah Ul Haq was part of the BPL last year. He played for the Rangpur Riders. Misbah was the leading face for the Rangpur Riders. The world of cricket knows Misbah and they have a good idea about his batting abilities.
Misbah in the game against Chittagong Vikings showed his form with the bat. He smacked a fifty in the match and almost took his side to the winning podium. He was cleaned up by Amir on a ripper. Only this ball could have taken Misbah out, a perfect yorker on off stump.
But before that there was a series of big hits seen blazing away from the bat of Misbah. The first shot was a six straight over the bowler’s head. This was an orthodox leg spinner from the bowler and Misbah just bent his knee and hit the ball full and straight.
On the very next ball he showed his intelligent side when he played the perfect reverse sweep shot which he plays. Misbah has a full authority over this shot. He plays it down the ground and in the gap all the time. This one beat the short third man fielder and ran towards the boundary.
The next three sixes were against pace bowler Taskin Ahmad. The first one was over long off. This was a slow ball from Taskin and Misbah read it really well. He waited for this ball and when he came in his zone he smashed it over the long off fence for a huge six.
The next one was over covers. Now this was a special shot. This was a length ball outside the off stump and Misbah moved a bit on the off side and whipped the ball over covers. The power and pace behind this shot took it all the way over the ropes for the third six for Misbah. The next one went on the leg side. Mohammad Amir was brought into the attack and straight away he was pulled on the leg side for a four. Misbah was getting unstoppable for the Vikings. His innings was a special one.
